DCR Design partners Charu Kukreja and David Figueroa led on design & development of a flexible digital mapping asset for New York City’s pedestrian wayfinding system. This effort included a city-wide field survey, public outreach & information audit to verify existing conditions for all of New York City.
The WalkNYC system currently includes free-standing wayfinding totems, Citi Bike kiosks, and neighborhood maps in select subway stations.
